Import Statistics

The Georgia Tech Panama Logistics Innovation and Research Center developed a tool that allows users to visualize and analyze Panama's imports statistics according to the type of product, commodity, and the country of origin.  This tool provides different statistics and characteristics of the goods that are imported.  Panama's main commercial partners are The United States and China.

The value of imports, excluding those corresponding to companies operating in the Colon Free Zone, amounted to USD$11,558 million, 43.1% more than 2020.

The tool has the following sections:

  • Panama Imports: shows the total value (CIF) of goods imported to Panama throughout the years.
  • Points of entry of Panama: shows the main entry points of imports.
  • Panama Imports by Country:  shows the top trade partners.
  • Panama Imports by Commodity Group: this section shows the top import products (Harmonized System Products).
