Overview

The Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH, for its acronym in Spanish), was created with the effort of international humanitarian assistance entities and with the support of the Government of the Republic of Panama, in order to logistically facilitate rapid response operations in situations of natural disasters or other events that impact the region.

This Center is located within the Panama Pacifico Special Area. Currently, the users of the Center are National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD).

Infraestructure:

  • 3 depots with a total storage area of 12,000 m2.
  • 3 cold Storage Rooms totalizing +1,100 m2 for shared use, with temperatures within a range of 23°C to -20°C.
  • Fully equipped Training Room
  • Administrative building and vehicle access control barriers
