Airports in Panama
Given its geographic location, Tocumen International Airport in Panama City has become the busiest airport in Central America by passenger traffic. It serves as a hub for COPA airlines and for DHL cargo terminal.
There are other airports in cities such as David, Changuinola, Isla Colon, Santiago, Chitre, Colon, and El Porvenir. There are also many other airfields in Panama with landing strips either private or for public services that support smaller aircraft. These landing strips represent the main air transportation infrastructure to travel rapidly to remote areas within the country.
