International Airports

Given its geographic location, Tocumen International Airport in Panama City has become the busiest airport in Central America by passenger traffic. It serves as a hub for COPA airlines and for DHL cargo terminal.

Local Airports

Marcos A. Gelabert Airport is the main domestic airport. It is located in Panama City and has daily flights to every major town in Panama. It is the Hub for a local airlines: Air Panama.

There are other airports in cities such as David, Changuinola, Isla Colon, Santiago, Chitre, Colon, and El Porvenir. There are also many other airfields in Panama with landing strips either private or for public services that support smaller aircraft. These landing strips represent the main air transportation infrastructure to travel rapidly to remote areas within the country.
